Booker Shortlist
The shortlist for the Booker Prize was announced today and, once again, I haven’t read any of them. I’ve never really been one for literary fiction — I’m all about the quirky non-fic and the genre fic — but my goal this year is to branch out. I think what I’ll try to do is read one book from each of the shortlists for the major prizes. (Of course, that means I also have to figure out what I consider to be the “major” prizes…)
Anyway, any suggestions from this shortlist? I’ve read Sarah Waters before and loved her, especially Fingersmith, but I’ve never read any of the others on the list.
